For the This past month, I’ve been playing around with Twine, an interactive storytelling software. I decided to make a story for the upcoming Titular Head Festival, which was a really fun challenge.
At first, it was tricky—especially figuring out the coding. But once I got the hang of type macros, timing, and embedding codes, everything started coming together pretty quickly.
While working on the Twine, I reached out to friends who had made Titheads in the past and asked for their videos. Adding them into the story helped capture the vibe of Tithead and made it feel more complete.
I had a great time experimenting with different effects and creating the storylines. This whole process got me thinking about other ways to use Twine in the future. One idea is making an interactive story for people with dementia. After spending a few years caring for elders, I’ve noticed that those with memory issues often revisit the same conversations, stories, and memories. I’d love to create something that preserves those moments in a way that could be helpful for both them and their caregivers.
Here is a link to the story: Let’s make a Tithead!
