It’s been a long semester, but kind of a fantastic one. Being paired with Dr. Ferguson was an honor. Our weekly meetings are always educational as well as entertaining. Most recently, we talked through where she’d like some revisions on the site, as well as our plans for next semester.
For next semester, we hope to get the site live my May of 2025. I need to build out the Religion, Personal Life, and Political Involvement pages, as well as create an “About the Project” documentary, but that seems pretty reasonable given hw far we have progressed thus far. I will be using WeVideo for the documentary, and probably incorporating some StoryMaps into the ‘Brief Biography’ page. I will need to create documentation on how to use some WordPress formatting functions, but that should not be too bad.
In terms of the most important things I’ve learned this semester, I would probably say that WordPress and StoryMaps have been my most useful digital skills; however, I think that time management and documentation are my biggest heroes that have come through in the best ways possible. My google calendar and my notebook are my biggest allies, may they be rewarded in heaven.
For the training model, I enjoyed that I could work on a training for one shift and then the Laetitia site for the other. It was good built-in time management. However, I was not the biggest fan of the Audacity training; it was a bit difficult to follow at times.
I am looking forward to continuing the Laetitia site and building my skills! I’m excited to learn Voyant <3
